Kangana Ranaut’s Dhaakad movie is set to release next week and the excitement around the movie is at an all time high. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the film since the first look launched. Recently, megastar Amitabh Bachchan even once shared the trailer for the movie on Instagram but a few minutes later he deleted it.
Since then, many have been confused as to what prompted Big B to delete the Instagram post. Kangana had also recently reacted by saying that he fears Bollywood will boycott him. Now it looks like the megastar has revealed the reason for the post’s deletion. Scroll down to learn more.
Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog on his Tumblr account on May 11 and shared a cryptic message regarding the incident. In his blog, he talked about the new government guidelines that prohibit social media users with a large number of followers from promoting something without warning.
Big B wrote on his blog, “There are strict rules and regulations now by the GOI (Government of India) and ASCI (Advertising Standards Council of India) guidelines, I think that’s who they are, who have now ruled that influencers – new terminology for them which puts up product images with a mention or images of products, to indicate that they are the sponsors, promoters, etc., or in partnership.
He then added: “Otherwise it becomes illegal. So many of my posts got notices that the change needed to be made…if not…ya..!! It’s a hard life isn’t it. And all the ‘biggies’ who buy out the social media ‘biggies’ give reasons for the incentives, raises, etc., on the numbers – because that’s what gets them the publicity…”
Amitabh Bachchan also said that trolling is seen as an asset in such cases as it encourages debate and keeps the topic alive, increasing the number. He wrote: “The more you abuse me, the more you criticize me, the higher I will rise!! – Famous words of the determination of a great businessman who rewrote the history of success in the world of company of this country and brought to life by Bhaiyu in the film.”
Kangana Ranaut previously appeared on Tried & Refused Productions and said, “There are personal insecurities, they’re all trying to hide behind ‘Oh we’re going to be boycotted by the industry.’ I don’t think that’s it. Sure, there are likes and dislikes, but it’s so striking that Mr. Bachchan tweeted the trailer and then deleted it in five to ten minutes. what pressure will he have? I don’t know, I find this situation a bit complex. They also have their own personal stuff and then there are also industry stuff.
