Ashes Adelaide test live score table: Australia v England, video, stream

It was England’s session at the Adelaide Oval, with three big wickets falling. But tourists couldn’t escape without at least some controversy.

England avoided yet another ballless disaster in Adelaide.

Marnus Labuschagne should have been absent for 102 when he was caught late by a nice delivery from Ollie Robinson.

Labuschagne had almost taken off when reruns finally showed on the big screen that Robinson had crossed the line.

It follows Ben Stokes’ extraordinary struggles with his front foot in Brisbane which cost England the David Warner wicket.

Labuschagne couldn’t hide a smile from ear to ear as he returned to the fold, with England captain Joe Root ashy.

But the angst was tempered when Robinson rallied again and trapped Labuschagne lbw for 103 – costing England just one point.

Before being finally sacked after an epic century of trying his luck in stages, former fast bowling star Brett Lee told Fox Cricket that if there weren’t the COVID restrictions, he knew where in Labuschagne should head out tonight.

“You don’t want to be in the crowd right now, but I would be going to the casino tonight,” Lee said on Fox.

The wicket resulted in a change of momentum for England, with Travis Head and Cameron Green falling shortly after Labuschagne.
