By the time the Halo Infinite Season 2 update appeared, it brought new content to explore, like in-game events, maps, game modes, and a 100-tier Battle Pass with 180 rewards.
Currently, the Halo community is eagerly awaiting the next major content drop for the game in Season 3. We’ll be going over everything that has been uncovered about the update by the developers.
Halo Infinite Season 3 Release Date
On September 1, the developers of Halo Infinite claimed in a Halo Waypoint blog post that the Season 3 update will be released on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 and will continue until Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
Obviously, these dates could change in the event of unforeseen developments. The new “Echoes Within” season will bring a plethora of new content which the developers have detailed in the Season 3 roadmap.
Halo Infinite Season 3 new weapon: M392 Bandit
The Season 3 update will bring a new weapon to Halo Infinite as the M392 Bandit. According to 343 Industries, this weapon has similarities to the DMR in Halo: Reach but is more useful in close-range combat.
The Halo Infinite version of the weapon has a few differences from the Reach version, including the fact that it has no scope. Players will actually want to use this weapon to cause serious pain in Season 3.
Halo Infinite Season 3 Shroud Screen gear
Halo Infinite Season 3 will also feature a new Shroud Screen ability that conceals you in a high-tech smokescreen. This will keep you hidden from enemy radar, in any case, while firing your weapon.
However, this piece of equipment does not prevent your enemies from completely injuring you. You will have to be careful and watch out for opponents who spot you.
More Halo Infinite Season 3 Content
The designers also announced new Arena and Big Team Battle maps, VIP and Escalation game modes, Forge beta updates, and a Battle Pass with 100 levels to go through.
As of this writing, they haven’t given more updates on this, however, we’ll learn more as the Halo Infinite Season 3 release date approaches. We’ll be sure to update you as more information becomes available.
Halo Infinite Season 3 Custom Games Browser
In August, a leaked image showed a custom games browser option in the Community tab of the Halo Infinite menu. This has led to speculation that this feature is coming, and the developers have confirmed its appearance in Season 3.
