French Connection has launched a standalone on-demand rental service on its own site, becoming the first major brand in the UK to do so.

Powered by Hirestreet’s sister platform, Zoa Rental, the service will serve its buyers directly from its existing site and won’t require customers to sign up for a subscription, which French Connection says would make it accessible to more people. customers and age groups.

Parts, from £45 to £205, will be available to rent between £10 and £45, for 4 to 16 days.

White-label fashion rental platform Zoa Rental manages the technology, operations and logistics behind clothing rental sites and was launched last year by Hirestreet founder Isabella West.

Hirestreet, which also hosts collections from retailers such as Marks & Spencer and Oasis, has already made French Connection collections available for hire on its own multi-brand site.

However, this latest initiative will see the launch of a dedicated site, frenchconnectionrental.com, where customers can rent clothes from the retailer’s current collection, including best-selling party and occasion items.

The fashion retailer said it had an “ever-growing appetite” for clothing rentals and would target wedding and party guests looking for unique formal wear.

“We are thrilled to partner with Zoa to bring a high-end shopping street to the rental customer and support the ever-growing appetite for hiring,” said French Connection Retail Director Simon Donoghue.

“We’re really excited to introduce our product to this audience and be at the forefront of this movement.”
