Jimmy John’s opens its first-ever drive-thru-only site, in the latest innovation to meet customer needs

Following a refreshed brand identity in 2021, Jimmy John’s recently unveiled a new approach to its restaurant design with its first drive-thru-only location in Bartow, Florida.

In partnership with experience agency ChangeUp, the new concept is designed to meet the needs of today’s customers. The restaurant is an entirely new format for Jimmy John’s, with a forward-thinking approach that promotes mobile order pick-up and preserves the brand’s reputation for “crazy speed.”

The drive-thru-only restaurant features dual-sided drive-thru lanes, with a dedicated lane for online and mobile orders. For customers who prefer a completely contactless experience, the new location also offers take-out lockers, where customers can easily pick up their online and mobile orders.

“Jimmy John’s has always been at the forefront of the industry, especially when it comes to listening to our customers,” said Andrew Bello, vice president of design and architecture at Inspire Brands. . “This new drive-thru-only model represents our continued commitment to evolving with our customers and serving the best, freshest sandwiches with speed and efficiency.”

The new location showcases Jimmy John’s refreshed brand identity, from the signature color scheme to the signage. Main red is displayed primarily at sandwich take-out points, Jimmy John star icons are used for orientation, and graphics highlight key messages and tone of voice.

Jimmy John’s worked with Tom Wolf Co LLC on the development of the new Bartow site, which is now open. Customers can place their orders online by clicking here.
