An agri-tech company is looking to hire a content writer in Lagos, someone who is best suited to write blog posts, articles, social media posts and content for the company’s website .
Professional responsibilities
- Create compelling titles and body copy that will capture the attention of the target audience.
- Conduct extensive research on industry-related topics to develop original content.
- Develop content for blogs, articles, product descriptions, social media and company website.
- Assist the marketing team in the development of content for advertising campaigns.
- Proofreading content for errors and inconsistencies.
- Edit and tweak existing content to improve readability.
- Perform keyword research and use SEO best practices to increase traffic to the company’s website.
- Identify customer needs and recommend new content to fill gaps in current company content.
Requirements & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, English, journalism or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
- Demonstrated content writing or copywriting experience.
- Working knowledge of content management systems.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- A portfolio of published articles.
- Excellent writing, storytelling and editing skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
