The joint venture between Marks & Spencer and Ocado Group – Ocado Retail has opened its third One-Hour Delivery service location in east London as part of a wider rollout of Zoom locations across the UK .
The on-demand service is available in parts of London, with the first site opening in Acton, West London in 2019, followed by the launch of Canning Town this year and there are plans to open the first site outside London to Leeds “within the next few years”. month”.
The Leyton site will create 130 new jobs in a range of roles including team leaders, drivers and warehouse staff and, like other Zoom by Ocado sites, will offer shoppers over 10,000 products to deliver in 60 minutes or a one-hour slot of the client’s choice. .

The range available is “five times larger than most other immediacy services”, said Ocado Retail, comprising food and drinks from the M&S range, Ocado’s own brand range, brands and offers of meals, “plus hyper-local suppliers”.
