San Diego software maker Santex expands operations to Argentina

Creator of custom software on demand Santex Group expanded its operations to Argentina with the inauguration of a delivery center in Cordoba.

Founded in 1999 in the US city of San Diego, Santex employs approximately 340 people and maintains offices in Miami as well as in the Latin American cities of Medellin and Lima.

The Cordoba center will employ about 125 people and provide software development services to local businesses, company executives said. In addition to software development, Santex also offers to create mobile applications and e-commerce platforms.

“The plan for 2022 is to add 250 new members to our team, of which at least 125 will be in Córdoba. We want this new headquarters to become a point of meeting and collaboration,” said Juan-SantiagoCEO and Founder.

Santiago, also known as an Argentinian serial entrepreneur, claimed the company invested US$3.5 million in its new offices.

“The new head office was designed from the start with state-of-the-art technology: 100% automated – i.e. soundproofing, smart glass with curtains that operate automatically based on the amount of sunlight, workstations ergonomic with two screens, touch panels. , a curved modular mega-dimension display and a powerful monitor that we are the first in America to have,” the company said in a blog post.

There are more than 600 software companies in Córdoba and they together employ around 14,000 people, according to local governor Juan Schiaretti.
