T5 Data Centers, the telecommunications industry’s only full lifecycle data center partner, has appointed Dave Ryan as the company’s Site Operations Manager in Ireland, officially establishing T5’s presence in the European Union. He will oversee the development of the data centers in the UK and EU from construction to commissioning and lead the site operations team to project completion, while also acting as a technical liaison for current international opportunities.
Dave joined T5 to oversee the initial development of the company’s Cork asset and network. T5’s Irish campus is a 32.5 acre, 46 MW dedicated data center campus with full planning permission for two enterprise facilities of 7 MW each and a cloud focused facility of 32 MW. As with all T5 installations, each data center can be customized to fit any enterprise or cloud computing deployment.
Once completed, the installation will be entirely managed by the T5 Facilities Management (T5FM). The team is responsible for T5’s 100% uptime record and recently reached the milestone of 2.5 million hours worked without a lost time accident.
With a diverse background in data center technologies from the Irish Management Institute and Dublin University of Technology, Dave brings unique skills to this role, including experience managing data center facilities with Microsoft and Amazon, where its focus on quality and environmental, health and safety has been instrumental in the success of the site’s operations.
