The It Gets Better Project Releases Educational Content Series on Elections Ahead of Midterm

The youth-focused LGBTQ+ nonprofit seeks to educate young voters with resources through partnerships with voting organizations including Rock the Vote and DoSomething.

LOS ANGELES, CA, USA, Sept. 20, 2022 / — On National Voter Registration Day today, The It Gets Better Project announces the release of new digital content series #ElectionSzn which aims to educate and provide voting resources for LGBTQ+ youth. As the world’s largest storytelling effort to uplift LGBTQ+ youth, the nonprofit has produced a series of short videos that premiered on September 12 and will air weekly through Election Day 2022. (8 November).

With approximately 8.3 million new eligible voters turning 18 since the 2020 general election, the goal of #ElectionSzn is to encourage eligible young LGBTQ+ youth to register to vote and educate young future voters about the voting process. These short videos will spotlight a diverse cast of young content creators and LGBTQ+ activists sharing the reasons they vote and the issues that matter most to them during this election cycle.

To further amplify #ElectionSzn and provide election resources and information to young voters, the It Gets Better Project is collaborating with a number of voting and youth-focused organizations, including Rock the Vote, DoSomething, and GLSEN.
