We are looking for a Digital Content Editor to complement our editorial team.

If you’re the right fit, you’ll get a good idea of ​​what makes a great story as well as what makes for effective social media content. You will plan, coordinate, review and edit digital content with us, your fellow editors. You will be able to decide which ideas should be pursued and which should be abandoned in order to meet standards for quality and accuracy. The goal is to provide outstanding, informative and engaging stories and advice on how to help others live their lives to the fullest in Beijing.


Copy, edit and schedule posts for the Beijinger blog and WeChat
Schedule and post content to social media feeds (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and keep social media accounts attractive and good-looking
Assist the editorial director to coordinate the editorial line
Present and write articles, collaborate with the team and meet deadlines


Bachelor’s degree (major in English, Journalism, Communication or a relevant field preferred)
Proven work experience as a copywriter
Strong writing / editing / proofreading skills
Excellent written skills in English
Attention to detail and critical thinking
Ability to prioritize and multitask, while meeting strict deadlines
Sociable and extrovert

Bonus points if you have the following:

Chinese language skills
Hands-on experience with InDesign, Photoshop or other publishing tools
Have an understanding of WeChat posting
Video editing experience
Demonstrated knowledge of SEO and social media best practices
Have lived in Beijing for at least one year
