Tom Brady’s Super Bowl movie in the works at Paramount, Endeavor Content

NFL legend Tom Brady has just announced his retirement from football, but TB12 is already returning to the game, all thanks to Hollywood.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion will produce and appear in the new film “80 for Brady,” led by an equally impressive cast: Oscar-nominated Lily Tomlin, Oscar-winner Jane Fonda, Oscar-winner Rita Moreno. and Oscar winner Sally Field.

The film is inspired by the true story of four best friends and New England Patriots fans who take a life-changing trip to Super Bowl LI to see their hero, Tom Brady, play and the chaos that ensues. as they navigate the wilderness of the biggest sporting event in the country.

Not only is there plenty of material for comedy, but there’s also drama, as the 2017 football game at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas was one of the biggest moments of the quarterback’s career. -back – and Super Bowl history – as Brady brought the Patriots back from a 25-point deficit to beat the Atlanta Falcons and claim his fifth ring.

Paramount Pictures has acquired worldwide rights to the project from Endeavor Content, which will produce the film alongside Brady’s 199 Productions and Oscar winner Donna Gigliotti.

The film is directed by “WeCrashed” star and “The Climb” co-writer and star Kyle Marvin, who co-wrote the final screenplay with Michael Covino, based on a draft by Emily Halpern & Sarah Haskins ( “Booksmart”). Marvin and Covino will also serve as executive producers under their Watch This Ready banner, alongside Jeff Stott.

Endeavor Content brokered the acquisition deal and developed the film with Brady and Gigliotti. Brady is represented by WME and Latham & Watkins; Gigliotti is represented by Paul Hastings.
