Just in case you’re trying to figure out why popular British telecommunications and internet service provider Three UK’s network is down and you’re not getting any data connection, then take comfort in the fact that you’re not the only one facing problems lately.
A quick look at microblogging site Twitter indicates that there are plenty of other people affected by the network issue and the service has been down for hours now. For a quick look, here’s how some of the complainants frame the issue:

Outage Finder – a popular service that gives live outage information – also indicates that 3 (Three) UK is indeed experiencing an issue in many areas (such as Manchester, London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Bradford, Nottingham, Edinburgh and Sheffield) as seen in the image below:
Any official word on the subject? While not much has been said about Three’s social media handles, their server status page does at least indicate that maintenance is underway and the site will be available soon.

Update 1 (October 17)
Three UK has officially recognized the problem by saying:
We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with voice, text and data which means some of you will experience intermittent service. please accept our apologies, we are in the process of fixing this issue at this time. Check back here for updates
There is still no ETA for the patch.
Update 2 (October 17)
Last status update:
we are working on it – should be fixed by the end of the day
Update 3 (October 18)
The glitch was address and service seems to be back to normal, but it may take a while. However, the server status still reflects maintenance.
Can’t lie it wasn’t a great day ☹️ we had some technical issues last night. slowly coming back to life during the day. Have you tried putting your phone on airplane mode and vice versa?
Update 4 (August 04, 2021)
Three UK has confirmed that they are aware of network or broadband issues with the service which are affecting many users. However, there is no ETA for a fix yet.
We are aware that some customers are still affected by this issue and are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. We recommend rebooting your router throughout the day (Source)
Update 5 (January 25, 2022)
Some users are now reporting (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) that they cannot access services like Netflix, Instagram and Snapchat on the Three network in the UK.
Fortunately, ThreeUKSupport responded to this issue and said it is currently investigating. Additionally, Netflix also has recognized on their behalf and they too are aware of this problem.
We hope it will be resolved soon so that users can use these three services again. Rest assured that we’ll be keeping tabs on the latest developments and updating you as something new comes along.
Update 6 (March 15, 2022)
5:02 p.m. (IST): Many users on Twitter are now reporting that Three UK is down or not working for them.
Luckily, it didn’t take too long for support acknowledge and they said the team was working to resolve it. However, they did not provide any ETA for the patch.
