What we know about the victims – Everett Post

(CHESAPEAKE, Va.) – Six people were shot dead in a mass shooting at a Walmart in Chesapeake, Va.

Survivors said the shooter entered a break room and opened fire on Tuesday evening.

The suspect was identified by city officials as Andre Bing, 31, of Chesapeake. Walmart said he worked at the store as a night shift supervisor and had been employed since 2010. He died at the scene of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.

On Wednesday, the city of Chesapeake posted the names of the victims on Twitter.

Here is what we know of the victims:

Lorenzo Gamble

Brian Pendleton, 38

Pendleton’s mother, Michelle Johnson, told ABC News that her son “has a really big heart” and loves working at Walmart.

Pendleton suffered from a condition called congenital hydrocephalus, but that never stopped him from leading a full life, she said.

“He liked to joke and he liked to make people laugh, but he was a really good worker,” Johnson said.

“I will miss my son,” she said.

Kellie Pyle

Randall Blevins

Tyneka Johnson

Chesapeake has withheld the name and photo of the sixth victim, a 16-year-old boy, because he is underage.
